Inductees

Frank wrestled at Pacifica High School, Santa Ana College, and finished at Cal State Fullerton in 1974. Shortly after graduating from college, he was an assistant wrestling coach and then Head Coach at Pacifica High School where they won League Championships at all levels in 1976 with four Masters Meet place-winners.

Frank then took the Head Wrestling Coach position at El Dorado High School from 1976 to 1990. His teams were a powerhouse -­ winning the State Championship in 1982, taking third in 1983 and taking second in 1986 . He was the first Orange County coach to win a State Wrestling Title. In 14 years at El Dorado High School, his teams won 12 League Championships, had seven Individual State Champions, 18 State medalists, 17 CIF Individual Champions and numerous CIF placers.

His teams were CIF Champions in 1982 and 1989, plus Southern Section runners-up in 1977 and third-placers many times. Frank was named National High School Coach of the Year in 1982. He was also selected Orange County Coach of the Year three times and League Coach of the Year six times. Between 1993 and 2000, he originated and successfully established The California Wrestling Academy, a national-caliber instruction camp, with over 150 participants annually. After being an Assistant and Co-Head Coach with Gary deBeaubien at Santa Ana College 1990-94, he took over the program from 1995-2000.

Frank lead the team to 3rd Place in State. He coached numerous Community College State Individual Champions and Placers there. Frank was inducted into the Orange County Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1996, and into the California Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2006. He was also inducted into the El Dorado High School Hall of Fame in 2000.
